Life Coaching
| In Susan Samakow’s approach to Life Coaching, she works to establish a powerful, dynamic relationship with her clients. However, rather than lead or problem solve, Susan initiates a dialog in which she actively listens, seeking to empower. As a coach, Susan’s method is to provide support that enhances the client’s skills and creatively achieves extraordinary results. |

Self Talk at Home
Understanding and utilizing Self Talk is fundamental to Susan Samakow Coaching. Susan believes that everything in life is about relationships and connections. Relationships are those we have with ourselves and with others. This is where Self Talk comes into play.
Self Talk is our internal dialogue, our thoughts. It is those thoughts, positive or negative, that end up shaping our lives and results in the decisions we make, personally and professionally. Positive Self Talk facilitates adjustments and change, making for an easier transition. Our Self Talk will be the barometer for the relationships we’re in and the careers we choose.
A key ingredient to having a successful life, no matter what your definition of success, is Positive Self Talk. Self Talk is the determining factor for how we choose to live our lives. Think about it…we live our lives based on our thoughts; we make decisions and judgments based on our thoughts, so do you want to be influenced by Positive Self Talk or Negative Self Talk? When you aware of your thoughts, and we have thousands of them each day, you can begin to have the outcome you desire. |
Mediation
Sometimes, our relationships encounter the challenges of disagreements. Marriage dissolve, tenants move, the neighbor’s fence in on my property. When two parties cannot reach agreement, mediation is the often preferred form of dispute resolution. The mediator is a neutral person that offers the parties a way for reaching an agreement that might otherwise be unavailable. Each party can use the mediator as a sounding board for possible solutions. The mediator can offer an impartial perspective and help each side understand the other side’s concerns.
Hiring a mediator is appropriate in situations where there is a dispute between: (partial list)
• family members • couples • landlord/tenant • neighbors • friends
Susan Samakow is a Certified Mediator, credentialed by the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Center in Maryland. |
